Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with freight forwarder and trucking companies involved for movement of containers to door delivery and negotiate/dispute additional costs which are not in line with the agreement.
- Compute, Track and record all additional costs on daily basis and clearly state the detailed explanations and justifications of the cost incurred and the responsible party.
- Manage back-end operations and tracking of issuance and recovery of debit notes from customers and timely payment of undisputed invoices to the forwarders.
- Maintain a tracking system and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each customer regarding nearest port and most cost-efficient way to make appointments to receive containers within LFD.
- Work with senior management on reporting of inbound containers, forwarder performance and additional cost on weekly and monthly basis.
- Track shipments that sailed and reach out to forwarders and customer proactively to request timely updates.
- Timely communicate with the customers on the status of the containers, their arrival dates and be the liaison between the forwarder/trucker and customer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Experience in US shipments especially domestic drayage and trucking and customs formalities would be highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Extremely proactive.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
